UrbanWeave, a Surat-based ethnic fashion brand specialising in handloom sarees and designer kurtis, had a beautiful product range and zero digital sales strategy. Their Instagram account had 4,200 followers with minimal engagement, no shopping setup, and a monthly online revenue of approximately โน2.8 lakh โ almost entirely from word-of-mouth and repeat buyers. NK Digital was brought in to build a complete social commerce ecosystem from the ground up.
The Challenge
The ethnic fashion market on Instagram is brutally competitive. Hundreds of brands compete for the same buyer โ a woman aged 25-45, fashion-conscious, shopping for occasions like weddings, festivals, and office wear. UrbanWeave had no visual identity system, no content strategy, and no system for converting followers into buyers. Their link-in-bio led to a poorly optimised website with a 4% conversion rate.

Micro-Influencer Network โ Partnered with 18 ethnic fashion micro-influencers (15K-80K followers) in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Each collaboration drove 200-800 direct product enquiries.
WhatsApp Commerce โ Built a WhatsApp Business catalogue and automated a 3-step enquiry-to-purchase flow. Launched weekly collection broadcasts to 2,400 opted-in customers.
Festival Campaigns โ Executed 6 festival campaigns (Navratri, Diwali, Pongal, Eid, Holi, Teej) with dedicated content calendars, countdown Stories, and limited-edition collection launches.
